Before the project she involved herself with the cooking in the street and left before engages as house girl post in someone’s house but due to mistreatments from her boss she decided to return at her uncle’s house to perform the day to day chores. Through the radio program, she learned about us and managed to be one of the girls who had a chance.

She is the one who’s employed by the school in tailoring of the children cloth including uniforms. Now she has been given a permanent resident near the school having shifted home with her baby
‘’Children with educated mothers are more likely to survive than those whose mothers did not receive an education’’ how ever she recognize skills provided during the project. She stated ‘’help me I will help others’’

Shola, aged 20 years left the school during her Form II due to family complications and never had a chance to go back to school anymore. Instead, she was lucky enough to have herself engaged in hand tailoring which basically was performed at home dealing precise with tailoring purses.
She heard what we were doing and loved the idea as she approached us hoping we could lay a hand of guidance to what she had already begin doing . Since she seemed passionate about it we gave her a chance with others as at the end she came up with some astonishing results/performance. She had a little bit insight on the sewing part but she was more interested local cultural bags designing and her performance inspired ‘George’; the director of the program who had to connect her with the tour company after her completion of the course in the center.
Shola’s mindset and performance has utterly change from where she was to where she currently is. She reasons that, once you provide a young girl with vocational and self-education she will likely pursue those other than wasted scenarios of her been exposed to other dangers including early pregnancy.
“Nothing other appreciating what you guys have done for me. I believe there are more of other girls with the same situation like mine and if they get a chance, they can make a difference. Thank you GS Community” Shola said.
